The Moxlite Amos and Amos Plus are both high-performance moving head lights, but cater to slightly different needs. The Amos, featuring a 250W Philips MSD Silver lamp, delivers 11,000 lumens from the source, while the Amos Plus boasts a 300W version of the same lamp, offering a brighter output. Both utilize quiet 3-phase motors for smooth pan and tilt movements, but the Amos Plus incorporates magnetic coding for enhanced positioning accuracy. In terms of prism effects, the Amos offers 8-facet and 16-facet prisms with morphing capabilities, whereas the Amos Plus features an 8-facet prism and a unique, rotatable honeycomb prism, providing more diverse visual effects. Optically, the Amos has a 2° beam angle and a 140mm lens, while the Amos Plus offers a narrower 0.6°-2° beam angle and a larger 145mm high-precision lens, allowing for sharper and more focused beams. The Amos includes 17 static gobos, including 3 glass gobos, whereas the Amos Plus has 16 static gobos, and also adds a fog effect wheel, a feature absent in the Amos. Furthermore the Amos plus has a high speed strobe effect, and the Amos has a standard strobe. The Amos Plus, with its enhanced features, comes with slightly higher power consumption (365W vs. 350W) and a slightly larger, heavier build (14kg vs. 12kg), and also has 18 DMX channels versus the Amos's 16/22. Both models support DMX512, Master-Slave, Auto, and Sound-Activated control modes, along with RDM support, ensuring versatile integration into professional lighting setups.
